Abdul is an Associate Director in Eddisons Taylors valuation services department and is based in the London office.

Responsible for RICS red book valuations and fixed charge receiverships, he also advises banks and insolvency practitioners on transaction activities, asset management and provides general property advice.

Prior to joining Eddisons Taylors in 2011, Abdul was a senior surveyor within the valuation and agency departments of a London firm of chartered surveyors. He has managed and transacted a number of diverse and complex cases, involving commercial and residential property, development land and specialist assets (including a sale of an airport).

Abdul has an MA in European Real Estate from Kingston University, is a RICS Registered Valuer and RICS Registered Property Receiver (MRICS/RPR) as well as a Fellow of the Association of Property and Fixed Charge Receivers (FNARA).
Andrew Young graduated with a BSc. (Hons) degree in Rural Estate Management in 2001, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2004. Since qualifying he has worked as a Chartered Surveyor at associate level in the north of England and Scotland. Andrew has experience in a number of sectors, to include planning and development, both commercial and residential agency and valuation and rural land management. He has provided advice to large and small clients on a diverse range of property types and related issues.

Andrew joined Taylors in 2011 and is based in the North East of England where he is well positioned to undertake valuation work throughout the north as well as in Southern Scotland.
Andrew Lait, MRICS, ACIB has been involved in the valuation of businesses and commercial property for over 20 years. After a 14 year career in banking, he joined Pinders in 1988 before moving to Taylors Business Surveyors in 1994. In the intervening period Andrew has held a variety of management roles within Taylors, whilst also undertaking valuations and consultancy work across all of our sectors.
Andy Phillips BSc (Hons) MRICS qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2002, and has been involved in trading related valuations since joining Taylors Business Surveyors and Valuers in 1999. Throughout his career, he has specialised in the Licensed and Leisure, Catering and Retail sectors, whilst also having broadened his expertise into the Dental and Pharmacy markets over the past five years. In 2007, he was promoted to Associate Director, a role which has increased his in-house responsibilities to include the analysis and countersigning of valuation reports.
Anthony established the banking and insolvency operations at Eddisons Taylors in 2000, a team which now operates throughout the UK to provide close support to a panel of major banks.

Having personally taken over 3,000 appointments as a fixed charge receiver, Anthony is an expert in bank advisory work and is often called upon to provide expert witness testimony.

With an international real estate background gained at a Big Four accounting practice, Anthony has undertaken assignments across Europe and the USA.
Barry Nickelson ACIB MRICS has recently re-joined Eddisons Taylors having spent 8 year working in central London as a Director of JLL. Prior to joining JLL, he was at Taylors from 1992, when the company was first formed. Prior to that he was a valuer at Pinders.

Barry has over 30 year experience in the valuation of operational entities, and over the lest decade, he has specialised in healthcare and education, with a focus on the day nursery and elderly care sectors.

Barry is based in London and has particular expertise in the London and South East regions
Brian Tebbs BSc, MRICS qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992. He worked for 13 years for the Valuation Office Agency at their Lincoln office before joining a Lincolnshire based firm on general practice surveyors. During this time he developed a broad grounding in general commercial valuation work for a range of clients. He joined Taylors Business Surveyors and Valuers in 2001 and quickly gained experience in the valuation of trading entities over a wide spectrum of business sectors.
Chris Mitchell ACIB MRICS FAVLP has over 26 years experience of valuing operational entities and commercial properties including hotels, leisure, licensed trade, catering, retail, healthcare/education sector and related investment, franchise and developments projects. He was a founder Director of Taylors Business Surveyors and Valuers Limited in 1992 and Chris also had previous UK and international banking and valuation/appraisal experience prior to qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1991. He is also a fellow of the Association of Licensed Property Valuers
Chris Worrall BSc (Hons) MRICS originally worked at Pinders where he spent 15 years having joined as a graduate in 1999. This included two periods of secondment within Christie & Co Group; firstly with specialist finance consultants Christie Finance in central London, and then time spent within Christies business transfer agency division. Chris progressed to National Business Appraiser and Valuer covering healthcare, leisure and retail sectors undertaking Red Book valuations, almost exclusively involved with trading valuation work. Outside of work Chris is a keen golfer with a current 11 handicap, is an FA licensed football coach and loves spending time with his family, which includes his springer spaniel ‘Sammy’.
Craig Walker graduated with a degree in Construction which led to a variety of roles in commercial property management and development with firms such as Kier Construction, Carillion and Monteray. Taylors supported Craig's later studies and the work-based training that led to his membership of the RICS as a Valuation Surveyor.

Based in the North-West since 2001, he is experienced in the valuation of commercial and investment properties in many sectors.
David Hayton, MRICS has been involved in the business appraisal and valuation sector since 1985, starting his career in private practice in Leeds. In 1992 he helped to establish Taylors Business Surveyors and Valuers and has been with the business ever since. David is a Chartered Surveyor with a particular interest in the healthcare and education sectors, in which he has been involved for many years. He is based at the Northampton Head Office, where he divides his time between overseeing our healthcare and education departments and undertaking valuation work, primarily in these sectors.
George joined Eddisons Taylors after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Geography.Whilst at university George gained valuable experience at a global surveying company, specifically in commercial valuations. Now based in the Manchester office as part of the valuations team, George is undertaking a masters degree in order to gain his RICS accreditation, aiding him in completing his APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) to become a RICS Chartered Surveyor. George is an active sportsman, he was a University Rugby Union player and completed The Suffering Race in 2017, raising money for Cancer Research UK.
Jack joined Eddisons in 2014, having gained a degree in Business Property Management from Sheffield Hallam University, and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2016.

During his five-year degree study, Jack also gained industry experience on a day-release basis as a residential valuer for a firm of chartered surveyors.

Jack’s first position was as a sales negotiator at property agent Bramleys, from 2006 until starting at university in 2008, becoming a registered member of the National Association of Estate Agents in 2009.

Jack became a member of the RICS Matrics Committee for Yorkshire & Humber in 2014 before undertaking an APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) in 2016 to become a Chartered Surveyor and member of the RICS. Jack then became Chairman of the RICS Matrics Committee for Yorkshire & Humber in August 2017.
James Hollas BSc (Hons) MRICS qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1991 and has worked in the commercial property industry ever since. He joined Taylors in 2001 and has been involved in the valuation of commercial and investment properties, together with operational entities in the healthcare, retail, licensed and leisure sectors, primarily throughout the south east of England.
James is a Director at Eddisons Taylors, joining in 2007 he was originally based in Leeds before moving to London in 2009 to establish the firm’s banking and property valuation practice in the City. He principally advises secured lenders, property companies and charities in respect of commercial and residential real estate.

James has been responsible for some of the firm’s most notable instructions, including the asset management and divestment of a mixed-use portfolio comprising 187 properties, advising the lender and facilitating the sale of a central London portfolio for £52m and, most recently, advising the owners of a 2,000-acre estate with complicated planning, occupancy and building repair issues.

As a graduate of Loughborough University, James is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a RICS Registered Valuer and a Fellow of NARA. In 2014, James spent several months seconded to a major client of the firm.

Matthew joined Eddisons Taylors in 1987 after completing a degree in Urban Land Economics at Sheffield Polytechnic, he became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 1989 and a Director in the valuations team in 1998.

Matthew is responsible for undertaking and overseeing valuation work for major UK lenders and asset valuation work for private and public bodies as well as valuation work for pension fund, matrimonial, tax and grant application purposes.

Working for Eddisons Taylors for 30 years, Matthew has worked for a wide range of clients across both public and private sectors including lenders, local authorities, educational establishments and many private companies from owner managed SMEs to major PLCs.

Matthew’s valuation work is concentrated in the North of England.

Nick Barber qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1993 and has specialised in the hotels & leisure property sectors ever since. He spent seven years with both Robert Barry & Co (now Colliers International Hotels) and Weatherall Green & Smith (thereafter Atisreal and BNP Paribas Real Estate) and is an independent advisor in hotels agency and investment. Nick joined Eddisons Taylors in 2013, bringing wide ranging experience of trade related, investment and portfolio valuations. He is based in Kent and covers hotel markets throughout the UK. He specialises in hotel and leisure sector valuation work, to include public houses and licensed restaurants.
Nick joined Eddisons Taylors in 2013 as a Director in the London Office. He has 25 years’ experience in providing strategic valuation and business support advice to the debt recovery units of a number of high street clearing banks. He has accepted over 500 fixed charge receivership appointments in his career to date.
Nigel Trevelyan MSc FRICS has over 25 years experience of valuing operational entities and commercial properties on a national basis and across all sectors. Having gained experience in the teaching profession and hospitality management, he has developed a specialism in these fields. He rejoined Taylors Business Surveyors and Valuers in 2013 and is based in East Anglia.
Philip Deakin is a Director in the Manchester valuations team.

Philip qualified MRICS in 2004 and is a registered valuer. With over 15 years of commercial property experience under his belt.

Philip joined Eddisons from JLL where he spent 11 years specialising in the valuation of mid to large lot sized assets across the majority of commercial sectors.

He has acted on behalf of all major lenders in the UK and many large property companies and funds such as ING, Valad, Peel Holdings, HIMOR, Langtree and Network Space. He has valued high profile regional assets such as Carrington Business Park, Ship Canal House, Port Salford, Exchange Quay and Gateway House.
Joining Eddisons Taylors in July 2013 as a Director, Phil has over 35 years of experience in the valuation of commercial and residential property.

Phil worked for HMRC in the Valuation Office between 1977 and 1988 and during this time qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. He soon progressed to the post of Senior Surveyor before moving to become a Partner at another surveying practice where he stayed for 24 years and had responsibility for their offices in Manchester, Burnley, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and London.

Phil is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and a Registered Valuer under the RICS Valuer Registration scheme.
Richard Hulyer BA (Hons) FRICS qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1988 and has been involved in trading related valuations since 1989. After spells with specialist business valuers Tretheweys and Pinders, he joined Christie & Co's Manchester office in 1994 becoming a Director in 1999. In his time there, he assumed overall responsibility for the valuation divisions of the company's Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle offices and for three years was also national Head of Healthcare Valuation Services. He joined Savills in 2002 becoming a Director in their Hotels Department and was responsible for setting up their provincial hotel valuation operation based out of Manchester. He joined Taylors in 2006.
Rob Bower BSc MRICS has been a Chartered Surveyor for over 30 years having fulfilled management, partner and director roles throughout his career. He has been a director of Taylors Business Surveyors and Valuers since 1995 and has primarily been involved in the valuation of operational entities and commercial properties on a national basis and across all sectors for bank lending, financial statements, appraisal and expert witness purposes. Rob is head office based and combines his role as an active valuer with compliance, training and management responsibilities.
Simon qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1998 but has over 20 years’ experience of valuing various types of leisure trade-related property for lending institution and private clients. Covering a diverse sector, Simon’s experience includes the valuation of hotels, public houses and restaurants, visitor attractions, marinas, arcades, golf courses, caravan parks & health clubs.

Simon is a RICS APC Assessor. For the last 17 years, he has been based in the London offices of Edward Symmons (ES) and latterly Lambert Smith Hampton following their acquisition of ES before joining Eddisons Taylors in September 2016
Stephen has over 30 years experience of valuing and appraising businesses and commercial property in the UK. He acts for many corporate clients as well as all the major banks in the field of capital valuation and Landlord & Tenant. Stephen is an active panel member of the RICS Dispute Resolution Service and receives many appointments each year to act as Arbitrator and Independent Expert.
Tom joined Eddisons Taylors as a graduate surveyor in May 2015. He gained a BSc from Sheffield Hallam University during which time he spent time on a property management placement before graduating and working for two years in an operational role for an investment management company.

Whilst at university Tom became RICS Accredited with key modules including Real Estate Economics, Assessing Building Condition, Applied Methods Of Commercial Property Valuation, Property Law and Landlord and Tenant Law, which supported Tom in gaining a property management placement at Bentons Property Experts.
Tom joined Eddisons Taylors in 2009 as a chartered surveyor and became an Associate Director in 2014, specialising in LPA (Fixed Charge) Receiverships and Insolvency.

With a Masters in Commercial Property Management (MSc) from Liverpool John Moores University, Tom also completed a two-year placement as a surveyor before a further 13-month’s on secondment with Royal Bank of Scotland as a relationship manager within the Recoveries and Litigation team. A role which involved managing security realisations through insolvency processes and acting as a consultant on cases including financial restructuring or contingency planning.

Tom now provides banks and insolvency practitioners with advice on valuations and disposal strategies for insolvent properties. Since enrolling on the RICS Valuers Registration Scheme, Tom is also actively involved in the acquisition and disposal of a variety of commercial properties, both vacant and investment, for a number of private clients.

Ed qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in April 2012 and is a Registered Valuer. The last 6 years have been spent working in Sanderson Weatherall’s Leeds valuation team covering the entire Yorkshire region as well as the Midlands. Since qualification Ed has obtained a vast range of experience covering the majority of commercial and residential property sectors, acting on behalf of most UK lenders. Ed is also experienced valuing trade related properties with specific experience valuing operational public houses and hotels.
